20th July 2010 - Updates and news

There are numerous updates to the site about to launch, including completed roll over of articles from the old system to new. The web store is almost rebuilt and completed, which is just in time for an awesome line-up of products from some new suppliers.

We are currently finalizing a few negotiations and some quality assurance testing and plan to have a large amount of your favourite products back on our shelves and available to you.

The estimated time for all these updates is looking ready to go by the end of this month. Once this is complete, we will be accepting membership and explaining the new membership structure and benefits.

We’d also like to apologise for the lack of updates, however we have been focusing on more ‘background issues’.

The download section has been added. Currently you can find some split marker sets for use with Trackmaster by Trackaroo (Android phones). These will assist you with timing your lap times.

We use a HTC Desire running Trackmaster software and the split marker sets for all our lap timings.

14th June 2010 - Track day

Touge Tonight driver Platinum hit the track on Saturday the 12th June 2010 for a Driver Dynamics track day at Sandown Raceway, Victoria. The WRX had suffered an accident the two nights prior and despite massive damaged suspension, it was still in attendance.

13th June 2010 – Platinum said:

The car had more issues due to the accident, however there was still a distinct lack of preparation. I took a lot from this and, doing things differently, would have prepared a lot better.
A defect on the car was cleared on Wednesday. The car then suffered an accident on Thursday night. It spent most of Friday on a hoist, coming off in the late afternoon for a wheel alignment which, unfortunately wasn’t aligned to the specifications asked for. Due to all the delays, we failed to replace the restrictive exhaust and missed out on a final run on the dyno. The car was finally emptied of loose items late (11:30pm) that same night with the track day starting early (8am).
Overall, a disappointing amount of disorganisation. However it was still worth attending. Driver Dynamics run a good day, and once you start getting a feel for your car into the later sessions, your lap times improve and you start wishing the sessions were a lot longer.

You can expect an article on how best to prepare for your track days!
